Uncle Dave Macon (nicknamed “The Dixie Dewdrop”) was sixty-eight years old and the biggest star on the Grand Ole Opry in 1938 when he appeared at the schoolhouse in Temperance Hall, Tennessee. Hatch created this poster to advertise this 1938 date. Backing the irrepressible Uncle Dave were young whippersnappers Sam and Kirk McGee from Franklin, Tennessee, who one day would be grand old timers of the Opry themselves. Printed on acid-free paper for durability. Size 14" X 22". Sizes are approximate.
